Returning Incarcerated People To The Communities That Need Them

“Prison is not a building ‘over there’ but a set of relationships that undermine rather than stabilize everyday lives everywhere.” -Ruth Wilson Gilmore

The IWCSP is a Virginia-based clemency project made up of abolitionists working for the release of criminalized and incarcerated survivors through parole, pardons, and sentence commutations, and providing them with other community-based support services.

Changing the world is possible. Changing the world is necessary.

An inside/outside organization that brings together incarcerated people and members of their community, the Incarcerated Womxn’s Clemency Support Project aims to help facilitate the clemency process and bring incarcerated women home to their families.
